Stopped by the man...Damn...

Oh my god I cant believe it they didnt let me show my work, its terrible. My parents are coming to the show this week and they really wanted to see my work. I cant believe it, I spent a year working on this project, they are unbelievably corrupt and dispicable, I will never ever deal with this college again. It is the lowest of the low to do this to me, I am also unable to attend my degree show. Which is also horrendous, due to this video being made, they have simply asked me not to attend the show!I wanted free beer!

Final Installment

There may some hold up on my degree show, i will be showing...not exactly on monday though....

Thank you all for taking part in my degree show trailer if you like, it was wonderful of you to take the time to watch the videos that I prepared specially. I hope you have a great summer, please enjoy the last installment. This is specially dedicated to duets, and what men and woman can achieve by working together, instead of subjugating each other, by enforcing power over each other and making each other feel like crap, or otherwise. There is the possibilty that men and woman could do great things when working together, its all about Ying Yang, black and white, loud and quiet, the seen and the unseen...duality.

Check out my degree show piece at this years final year show:

Cat Power and domestic Violence - 6th Installment for Ladies

Talking with Cat Power
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dk6qD1Uh4PQ

I saw this lady play at the barbican a couple of years ago. Shes amazing, her on stage performances used to be crazy she had a lot of issues at the begginning of her career. Shes now completely sober and really great to watch live! Here she talks openly and honestly about her triumphs and struggles over the span of her musical career so far. Shes also the loveliest woman in the world.

Cut Movie - Keira Knightley
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctoZbeD-GlY

This is a really good advert it raises awareness of domestic violence very well which is sadly a part of some womens lives in the Uk, and for some men also.

"Marie Antoinette" {Kirsten Dunst & Sofia Coppola}

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWeta0y2YS8

Sophia Coppolla, Francis Ford Coppollas daughter, great woman I really love her films. The virgin suicides, ace!Great soundtrack too by Air

I just love audre Tatou, this advert is great really well directed. I love the whole allure of two strangers on a train, great stuff!

Female Liberators and Revolutionaries

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6Y-C1BIJ1Q

This is a fascinating video about the hidden histories of female revolutionaries. This I feel is a good representation of how women do achieve in society, and often end up in high status positions and have great working methods whether artistically or politically. However they are often just not written into the history books...so when it comes to the fact that there are not female graphic designers or great female artists...its very likely that there have been and are..they just arent/werent written much about....there clearly needs to be some kind of profile raising for female artists...they just seem not to be recognised very much, but by the looks of this video it could be a recurring theme.

http://www.suppressedhistories.net/

This is the site that the last video came from, have a look around it might be of interest to some of you.The idea of unwritten or hidden histories is something that I have only recently discovered myself, through talking with female artists recently about this issue. Some of excerpts from these conversations can be (self promotion) seen in my final piece "The Glass Ceiling" at this years coming degree show.

Dont forget to check out the blog, so you can rewatch or catch up on any of the old posts and see what the gents are watching too.

Yeah this guys great I saw a show of his in Bethnal Green a few years ago, I had to walk through an upturned van that was wedged in between the doors of the gallery to get into the exhibition, loved it had a great time. He really knows how to use space to its maximum potential in a gallery.

An old skool skater from the 1980's takes his art to the galleries. Though not majorly well known to the world as a prolific artist, I did think this video was amazing, it just showed what you can do when you put your mind to it, and the public are open to everything. As its said in close encounters of the third kind, "If you build it they will come"

I got a flyer in the post for this, these guys sound kinda interesting, for those of you interested in Politics, these guys might be a viable option!

Miss Van some of you may know, she makes really great illustrations of female

of her aesthetic.

singers would be where
they are now,
she really stood out,

from people...why she's been
slated so much is unusual...
anyway shes ace,
and this video is of a classic
